Another Level of Awakening:

The Raw and Real Truth About Spiritual Growth

You know that feeling when you think you’ve finally made it? Like you’ve climbed the mountain, reached the peak, and now you can just sit back and enjoy the view?

Yeah… awakening doesn’t work like that.

The truth is, we are always evolving. Always growing. Always shedding layers. And if you’ve ever been through any kind of spiritual awakening, you already know—it’s not all butterflies and unicorns. It’s messy. It’s painful. It’s breaking apart everything you thought you knew so that you can step into who you’re truly meant to be.

And maybe the hardest part? Facing yourself. Facing others. Facing the truth.

Seeing Things for What They Are—Including Yourself

Rose Colored Glasses

A spiritual awakening isn’t just about finding inner peace—it’s about seeing things clearly for the first time in your life.

At some point in this journey, it feels like someone rips off the rose-colored glasses you didn’t even know you were wearing. And when that pink tint fades, it’s shocking. Because you’re not just seeing the world differently—you’re seeing yourself differently, too.

  • You start recognizing the ways you’ve betrayed yourself to make others comfortable.

  • You realize how much of your life has been shaped by unhealed trauma, limiting beliefs, and survival mechanisms.

  • You see how you’ve been holding on to people, situations, and versions of yourself that were never truly aligned with your soul.

And the hardest part? You see the fairytales you’ve been telling yourself unravel.

We grow up believing that if we just try hard enough, if we love deeply enough, if we prove ourselves enough—we can change people.

We convince ourselves that we can encourage people into their potential. That we can heal them, inspire them, and love them into becoming what we need them to be.

But awakening forces us to face reality:

  • Some people will never change—not because they can’t, but because they don’t want to.

  • Some situations will never be what you hoped—no matter how much energy you pour into them.

  • No amount of love, patience, or sacrifice will turn an unhealthy relationship into a healthy one.

That realization? It’s brutal. It shatters the illusion that we have control over the outcome if we just “do better” or “become more.”

And when that illusion crumbles, we are left standing in the raw truth of what is—not what we want it to be.

The Pain of Letting Go—Of Who You Thought You Were

This part? It’s gut-wrenching.

Because once you see the truth, you can’t unsee it.

At first, you might resist. You might try to hold on. Maybe if you just explain it better, if you just show them more love, if you just prove your worth one last time… maybe then it will all work out.

stepping into your spiritual awakening

But deep down, you already know the answer.

Letting go isn’t just about walking away from others—it’s about releasing the parts of yourself that believed you had to fix, change, or earn love to be worthy of it.

For me, this past year has been one of the most intense seasons of growth I’ve ever been through. I’ve stripped back layer after layer, letting go of things I once thought I couldn’t live without—relationships, habits, even parts of myself that I thought defined me.

I’ve had to:

Look at the stories I’ve been telling myself about who I am.

Recognize how my trauma shaped my choices, my relationships, my self-worth.

Release the belief that my value is tied to what I give to others.

Grieve the version of me that didn’t know better—and forgive myself for it.

Because here’s the truth: when you awaken, you don’t just lose people. You lose parts of yourself.

And that’s terrifying. But it’s also where the real healing begins.

Growth Is Messy, but It’s Worth It

Here’s the thing: awakening isn’t a one-time event. It’s a lifelong journey.

Just because I have a business centered around helping others heal doesn’t mean I don’t go through my own seasons of unraveling. I do. And I will continue to, over and over again. That’s how this works.

But something is different now.

I don’t fear the undoing anymore. I don’t resist it. I welcome it. Because every time I shed another layer, I get closer to who I’m really meant to be.

And if you’re in this place—where everything feels uncertain, where you’re questioning things you never thought you would, where it feels like life is shifting in ways you can’t control—I want you to know: You are not alone.

Lean into it. Trust it. Honor your energy. Even when it’s hard. Especially when it’s hard.

Because on the other side of all this unraveling? You’re going to feel more like yourself than you ever have before.
